Life is sweet and everything in between!

My mom died of cancer last 2012 and this has brought loneliness for the past few months that she died.   I find myself standing in our living room alone in an empty house.  Little did I know, baking will be something therapeutic. It has started as a way to drown out the quietness in the house and to keep myself busy.

Bought my first mixer and started my adventure with baking.   I have searched the internet to find recipes that are easy to follow and will require limited preparation and time.  My first recipe, no bake blueberry cheesecake, is the easiest to do because you don’t have to operate any oven which at first is quite daunting.  I got positive reviews and encouragement from my sisters, nieces and nephews to try to do the “baked” version of the cheesecake.
I have decided to enroll in Heny Sison to learn and acquire some skills in baking.   Reading cook book recipes helps but there are some things you don’t learn from a book.   My first foray in baking is a disaster.   After attending a lifestyle class in Heny Sison, I have attempted to bake my first Red velvet cake.  I have erroneously interchanged the recipe from the previous page and that resulted to an edible cake but quite rubbery.    Slowly, I have gained confidence in my baking
